  1. The Featured Boxes require the Marni Custom Post Types<\/strong> plugin.
    You can install this plugin in Appearance \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> Install Plugins<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Go to Appearance \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> Customize \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> Layout \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> Home<\/strong> and make sure the “Display Featured Boxes” switch is set to “on”.

  3. Click Featured Boxes \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> Add New Featured Box<\/strong>

  4. You can give this featured box a title, the title will not appear anywhere on the site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Under BOX TYPE <\/strong>you can select one of the two box types:
    Post Box<\/strong> – Display a featured post
    Content Box<\/strong> – Display content (text, buttons, shortcodes, icons,…) over an image that links to any URL like for example a category page, the shop page etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Fill in the settings for the box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Click Publish<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you’ve selected the Post Box, the FEATURED POST<\/strong> meta fields will appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Select the post that you wish to display. In order to search for a specific post, simply start typing the title into the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Select what post meta that you wish to display.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      If you’ve selected the Content Box, the CONTENT BOX<\/strong> meta fields will appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Upload a featured image on the right hand side<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Enter text into the editor. Paragraphs will not be inserted automatically. In the text (not visual) editor, you can add <br><\/code> for line breaks. You can also use HTML<\/a> and shortcodes<\/a> as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. In order to add a link to the box you can either enter the URL into the “Box links to” field ord add a button via a shortcode. Please make sure to always add the full URL including http:\/\/<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        In order to find the URL to a category page, go to Posts > Categories, hover over a category and click “View”. This will take you to the category page. Copy the URL from the browser bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        How to reorder the Featured Boxes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Install the Intuitive Custom Post Order<\/a> plugin. You can do that in Appearance \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> Install plugins<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Once the plugin is installed, go to Settings \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> Intuitive CPO <\/strong>, select “Featured Boxes” an click Update<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Go to\u00a0Featured Boxes \u2192<\/strong><\/strong> All Featured Boxes<\/strong>\u00a0and simply drag and drop the posts into a certain order.\u00a0\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
